An already busy December is about to become even more festive after Kwesta announced that Rick Ross will be heading to Johannesburg, along with Rich Homie Quan for a special performance on 14 December.
Da King of African Rap might have the continent on lock, but that isn’t stopping him from working with some of international hip hop’s biggest stars. Kwesta worked with Nigerian-American star, Wale on Spirit, before spitting a freestyle on Sway in the Morning that is still regarded as one of the best we’ve seen on the show. He’s making waves internationally and now he’s bringing the internationals to Mzansi for his fans.
On Wednesday morning, the rapper took to Twitter to reveal that he, along with Heineken, would be bringing Rick Ross and Rich Homie Quan to the Mustang Room on 14 December.
Last year, Mr Vur Vai brought us Wale, and he’s doubled up on the offering this time around by including the Boss himself, Rick Ross - while Rich Homie Quan certainly feels like a “buy one, get one free” kind of act but at this stage, we won’t say no.
Many fans were excited, although a few critical tweeps pointed out that this announcement came at very short notice.
Rozay is no stranger to South Africa, but we hope he’s learned his lesson from the last time he was in the country.
