Lady Du said women got through a lot and so she would be doing this initiative to celebrate them. She even encouraged people to be their own bosses, instead of looking to get signed by labels.
“My company turns 10 years next year, because it will be fully matured I will be working and developing girls only. I feel like females go through so much, I won’t be signing people. I don’t believe in giving people fish, I buy equipment for them to fish. Right now I’m building as much as I can to make sure they don’t have to look anywhere for sponsorship unless it’s brands for a party! We don’t sign to labels! We are the labels,” she wrote
Lady Du is set on creating wealth for herself and her family. Apart from doing music, she is also a businesswoman. She once encouraged people to not fake a soft life, because it would be hard to sustain the lie.
“Don't wait for your friend to ask for money if you see they need it. Sometimes just send your friend some money. Do not fall in love with living a fake life, because you have to sustain the lie,” she said in an Instagram live.
Her career has been so successful that she thanked the Most High for granting her the success.
"Lord I thank you for all you have given me if I asked for more I’d be ungrateful, thank you for the light in my life, for the blessings. Thank you for always pulling through for me."
"For all the people in my life that are supporting me. Thank you for your Holy Spirit that takes over me whenever I feel like giving up. Kindly do the same for others."
Lady Du's career had been tainted by some drama with her father DJ Choc who slammed her on Facebook.
On FB DJ Choc said, "I do not know what Lady Du means when she says she grew up poor when I worked so hard to give her a comfortable life. She then went and h*ed around and ate money with all these men and she continues to spend money on these men. What is she doing now? She did not grow up poor, she had everything she needed.
"She is who she is because of me. Today you see me as a piece of sh*t but she can go around telling people that she grew up poor. She is a dog, I gave birth to a child that is a dog."
But, Lady Du told TshisaLive that she will not watch the hurtful video, “Somebody misread my post and went and told my dad that I said I didn't have this and that...My dad doesn't have social media so I think somebody saw my post and went to ask him when that happened,” she told the publication. “I have not watched the video. He sent it to my brother, making threats, and I kept quiet and said I'm not going to listen to it.”
