A Legend joins the Umlilo cast

Television producer Legend Manqele has traded his role behind the camera for a stint in front of it.

That’s right, Legend revealed on Instagram that he has joined the cast of hit e.tv drama series Umlilo, which will make its highly anticipated return to our screens on Monday, 10 August.

YEP! I guess we can now officially say that everyone is doing this acting thing. 😂🚶🏾 I haven’t practiced this hard enough to call myself an actor but I believe in the steps. Thank you for the guidance @noxnonozi @nomzamo_m @omuhlegela @thulani_ngcwabe #umliloSeason2 10 August #DreamsContinueToComeTrue

Legend, who use to serve as content producer for Vuzu’s VEntertainment, previously had a stint at Urban Brew where he produced kids’ programme Yo.TV and one of Mzansi’s highest-rated music shows LIVE.

Legend now runs his own production company titled Mood. Not that any of us can remember, but apparently, Legend, was also a child star back in the day.

It’ll be interesting to see how the producer-turned-actor fares in his new gig.
