A big congratulations to celebrity Chef and TV presenter Lorna Maseko. Lorna announced that her brand new show called 'Homegrown Taste SA' is finally here and set to premiere on the 23 this month on BBC.
Taking to her social media platforms to share the exciting news and also expressed her excitement she wrote, "So excited to announce my new show on @BBCS_Africa #HomegrownTastesSA airing Wednesdays a 20:00 on DSTV channel 174. The show kicks off on the 23rd March - hope you’ll be watching and tuning in with me - can’t wait for you guys to see it!!"
According to BBC South Africa, the show will also feature other celebrity guests who will be helping Lorna as she does her magic in the kitchen. Fans will get to see the likes of Pearl Modiadie, Khaya Mthethwa, and many more.

In 2020, the Luxe Restaurant awarded Lorna with the coveted Culinary Icon Award. She also bagged two international awards for her cookbook titled 'Celebrate With Lorna Maseko.'
She won the Best Celebrity Chef cookbook and the Best International Cookbook, at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards.
"Oh my gosh - Just found out my cookbook Celebrate With Lorna Maseko has won 2 awards with the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2020...This is the best news ever!!!!!" she wrote celebrating her big achievement.
Speaking about her book, Lorna said it features a lot of one-pot wonders. "The book doesn’t really have that many dessert recipes but it has enough to satisfy the home cook. If anything it features a lot of ‘one-pot wonders’, reminiscent of my childhood.”
She added that cooking is very creative for her also explaining. "when you've got something on a plate you can still fix it, no one will know what it's supposed to taste like. But baking, once you put that thing in the oven honey! You're praying to God, you're praying to everybody," she said at her book launch in Sandton as quoted by SowetanLive.
She also expressed her gratitude to the Media Mogul Basetsana Khumalo for guiding her. She encouraged young women to always go for it and fulfill their dreams. "Keep going, there is nothing holding you back. Life is for us to take and to enjoy and to embrace. It's never going to be an easy ride, failure is okay. It doesn't mean that you can't get through to the next step; just keep going," she said.
