Shabalala who was trolled on The River for his questionable acting skills along with his on-screen wife, Larona Moagi is already shaded for bagging his new role. Fans of The Legacy are hoping that he’s improved his acting skills since exiting The River and are already cringing at the thought of seeing him on their screens again.

Here are some reactions to the news of Shabalala’s new gig:
"Tshedza seemingly like his acting...kodwa nami sengiyamzwela akanikwe elinye ithuba."

"I feel like the Lindani role just was too big for him, I don't have anything against the guy. Someone else could've done that role justice by my opinion, I was happy when he was killed off."

"...bright side : i don't watch him but if he really can't , the intensity of talent already on that set will propel him . It happens , the energy around rubs off and before you know it he'll be a best actor nominee."

"uyaphi, why angayi kuGomora?"

"Makaye ku Gakarations."

"Let's just hope he improved as an actor ngoba hayi ngekhe."

I love Lunga but I swear I feel like he gets his Gigs via connections cause even though hes a 10/10 man, he's definitely a below everage actor yet he secures spots on huge soapies."

"This is huge, congratulations to him. The ones that were on about how he couldn’t act batlo painelwa strong."
Who is Lunga Shabalala’s on-screen father, Msizi Zulu?
The character is played by award-winning actor, Siyabonga Thwala who played the role of taxi boss, Mpiyakhe Zungu on Mzansi Magic’s canned novella, Isibaya.
Siyabonga Thwala as Msizi Zulu

This is what Thwala said about playing Msizi Zulu on Legacy:
“It all starts with the script and knowing how much freedom the writers and producers give me as an actor to play around and get to discover everything about the character. It’s like a collaboration. Msizi is an ambitious man who feels like he deserves a lot more than what has been given to him. He’s ambitious and will do whatever it takes to get there.

In his mind, white people are necessary to have around, but are also the biggest obstacles in his life and success. He also needs Nirvana by the side, who is the chairperson of the board. But the problem is Nirvana is a tad more principled than him. Msizi will get anyone to be an ally, as long as they serve his purpose.”

Legacy airs on M-Net (DStv channel 101) at 7pm from Mondays to Thursdays
