The former Generations actor has come out to encourage men to attend their local mens health clinic to check for any possible findings that could threaten their health.

Speaking to Isolezwe, the actor mentioned that South African men do not want to check up on their health, therefore decided to embark on a campaign that would raise awareness on the importance of going for regular medical check-ups.

"It's become clear that most men do not want to go for various medical check-ups, that's why I thought it best I work alongside the KwaZulu-Natal Health Department and visit different places to urge men to realise the importance of taking care of their bodies and improving their health."

Melusi shared that he visited a tertiary recently and was shocked at how less important male students considered their health to be in comparison to their female counterparts.

"The females came out in their numbers to check any diseases they may have. But you would be suprised at the low turn-out of males who also came to do their health check-ups." Said Yeni.

We may not see him on our TV screens lately but Melusi is said to be working on a movie based on the life of former President Nelson Mandela.
