A Look Back At Minnie Dlamini's Baby Showers

Minenhle Dlamini, popularly known as Minnie Dlamini is one of the most popular personalities in South Africa. 

After keeping her pregnancy hidden for months and even rubbishing rumours of her pregnancy, Minnie Dlamini sent the internet into a frenzy on when she publicly announced that she was expecting her first bundle of joy with her then-husband.

She shared a picture of her baby bump along with her pregnancy reveal on social media during Quinton Jones' birthday. The news that Quinton Jones going to be a father was Minnie's surprise birthday gift to him. How romantic was that?

Shortly after revealing that she was pregnant, her friends and fans rushed to her pages to congratulate her and shortly after, she was thrown not just one but three lovely baby showers!

Here is a look back at all of Minnie Dlamini’s baby showers and a glance at her baby boy who is growing up so fast. 

Minnie Dlamini’s first baby shower was a surprise party organized by her mother who invited all her friends, and her child’s godmother- Dr Shauwn Mkhize.

The blue-themed baby shower was held at Durban. A very happy Minnie was dressed in a white bodycon dress that showed off her curves and growing bump and a white roses headband.

After the successful event, Shauwn Mkhize took to Instagram to share a few snaps of herself with the ecstatic mother-to-be and a few other guests 

The second of Minnie Dlamini’s baby showers was organized by her friends or baby Jones’ aunties, as she referred to them.

The theme for Minnie Dlamini’s second baby shower was baby blue and the venue was decorated with baby blue and white balloons, cuddly teddy bears, and hundreds of roses.

This time around, the mother-to-be wore a gorgeous long, off-shoulder gown with matching gloves and a headband of roses and she looked exquisite.

When we thought that Minnie Dlamini’s baby showers were over, her former in-laws surprised her with a third baby shower.

“I spent the day with all the women in my husband’s family as well as close family friends and had the most beautiful time.” Minnie Dlamini about her third baby shower.

In November 2020, Minnie Dlamini and her ex-husband Quinton Jones welcomed their first child together- a son called Netha Makhosini Jones.

Although the popular television host has always shared photos of her personal life including her wedding, her ex-husband, and her home, she has avoided sharing any pictures of her child online.

In an Instagram Q&A with her fans, a fan asked her when she would show pictures of her baby’s face, she replied that she would when people stopped being mean for no reason. 

Like many mothers, Minnie Dlamini seems to be keen on protecting her child from the harsh world and we applaud her.
