Minnie Dlamini embraces her Indian heritage

It was Steve Berry who once wrote: “A concerned effort to preserve our heritage is a vital link to our educational, cultural, aesthetic, inspirational and economic legacies. A ll of the things that literally make us who we are.”

This quote rings true to what the rest of the article is basically about – embracing one’s heritage.

We must admit that it came as a pleasant surprise when South Africa’s self proclaimed diamond, Minnie Dlamini-Jones, shared an image aimed at honouring her maternal Indian heritage. Minnie‘s photo shoot was Afro-Asian themed of which the media personality tied it in with the diversity that melts out from South Africa’s rich culture and history.

Though taken aback by Minnie’s history revelation, we must say that opening that heritage window is refreshing and inspires the rest of us to learn more about ourselves.

The gorgeous and multifaceted Mrs Jones’ revelation was met with mixed reactions, with some of her followers surprised that she has an Indian lineage in her Dlamini bloodline.
