Mixed emotions following the news that Mzansi's favorite Netflix original series Blood and Water has been renewed for a new season. It appears scores of viewers are certainly not jumping for joy for the show anymore.

Exactly 5 months ago Blood and Water season 3 blew the viewers away as it dropped. The show introduced new faces, new story lines and remained on the trend list after every episode on Twitter. And according to Entertainment Commentator Phil Mphela, the show has been renewed for its newest season and production is most likely to start in May.

"EXCLUSIVE: Blood & Water renewed for Season 4 Sources have informed me that the popular Netflix show is currently in the contract signing phase of the new season Production will likely start in May." wrote Phil Mphela
Evidently, not everyone is thrilled with the renewal of the show as viewers have taken under Phil Mphela's comment section to insert their honest opinions. Scores of viewers feel as though the story line is already dead and the show have nothing more to offer.

"I didn't enjoy season 3 like 1 and 2. I don't know something was just not make sure" wrote Sinazo Ncanywa
"I don't know what more can this series give, it was ok to end it at S3. Honestly I think they should've renewed Queen Sono for S2. Kings of Joburg and Blood & Water are tired now" wrote Siyabonga
"This storyline is dead. 3rd season was just a The Queen episode with a Hollywood budget. If you wanna get this right drag the story back to the events before S1 and obviously get a new cast. Bring real writers like Angus Gibson and Teboho Mahlatsi on board then you have a series" wrote Mr Morale
Mphela proceeded to defend the show while educating the trolls, he went on mention that for the mere fact that Blood and Water has been renewed, that could only mean it is a successful show on Netflix.

"Let’s be clear on one thing … Blood & Water is geared toward teen and young adults audience. In that regard, the show is a success for Netflix globally. No surprise that it is green lit for another season. Sometimes fam, you are just not the target market and it’s ok" wrote entertainment commentator Phil Mphela
