Mlindo the Vocalist, who was this week caught up in a double booking fix after two posters advertising the singer’s gigs on the same night in two different countries has made up his mind.
The singer has opted for some foreign adventure over the Sun City event.
On Monday Donald shared a poster on his Instagram which advertised Mlindo as one of the performing artist for his #10YearsofDonald gig in Sun City on Saturday, when he is also billed to perform in Zimbabwe’s second largest capital, Bulawayo on the same night at BAC Leisure.
Other artists who will perform in Sun City are Prince KayBee, Mobi Dixion, Phindy Dube, Big Soul, DJ Tronix and Fantasy the DJ.
The Macala hit maker has since cleared the air and assured the expectant Bulawayo fans that he will dance with them on Saturday in a less than one minute video.
“I want to clarify that I can’t wait to be with you in Zimbabwe on Saturday, I am not going to Sun City. It’s just to clarify everything,” said Mlindo in the video.
The high riding singer went on to share the show poster on his Instagram, much to the delight of his fans in Zimbabwe, captioned… “Am so excited, this weekend for the first time I’ll be performing in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. Can’t wait to see y’all,”
In an interview with Mduduzi Mdlongwa the Zimbabwean promoter bringing Mlindo for his debut dance with Zimbabwe, he assured fans that the show will go on as planned.
“There has been confusion over Mlindo’s program on Saturday, but I can assure you that everything is in order for Mlindo’s debut act in Zimbabwe. Mlindo will be in Bulawayo on Saturday, we expect him to jet in around mid-day just in time for him to meet his fans before the show. I understand the fan’s feelings and confusion around the whole double booking issue but it’s now clear our team and Mlindo’s have confirmed. The party is on,” he said.
Meanwhile, Riky Rick who recently collaborated with Mlindo on a track dubbed You and I will be in Zimbabwe’s capital on the same night.
Riky Rick who is fresh from a successful debut Cotton festival will perform at Club Sankayi. The club has hosted the likes of DJ Tira, Tipcee, and DRC’s Fally Ipupa in the past.
