Murdah Bongz career in Black Motion

Murdah Bongz’s net worth has been majorly built from his work in the music industry. His
genesis in the
world of music began at a young age before he even became a teenager.
He would reportedly perform at school events and local shows in his hometown. He also
joined his church
choir where he was able to nurture his mastery of musical instruments and grow his skills as
a music
composer and vocalist.
In the late 2000s, Murdah met Thabo
Mabogwane, aka Smol, who is also a talented musician. The two quickly became friends
and in 2009,
they formed Black Motion. They joined Famous Entertainment and released their first single
Banane
Mavoko featuring Jah Rich which was an instant hit.
In 2011, Black Motion released their debut album Talking To The Drums, which was a
massive hit
and helped them secure international recognition. They followed it up with the release of
their second
album Aquarian Drum in 2012.
The duo released their third album in 2014 titled Fortune Teller, which was also

In April 2022, speculations emerged that Black Motion had split and that the individual
artists who
made up the duo would be working on individual projects going forward.
Through their label Spirit Motion, the duo released a statement refuting claims
that they had
split. They explained that the only changes that had happened was that Murdah Bongz had
changed his name
to MÖRDA and would be launching a deejaying career while Thabo Smol would be launching his
business.
Despite the solo projects, the duo assured their fans that Black Motion would remain intact
and they
would continue working together.

Since June 2020, Murdah Bongz has been in a relationship with one of Africa’s top female
DJs- Zinhle
and the two have been serving some serious relationship goals.
