The show portrays the lives of polygamist Musa Mseleku with his 4 wives MaKhumalo, MaYeni, MaNgwabe, MaCele, and their children.
Last night on Thursday the new season four premiered and already there was so much to talk about from Makhumalo's fertility issues, Mseleku's son Mpumelelo finally standing up to his father, infidelity, the growing issue of wife number five, MaYeni and Thobile's beef as well as the boldness of MaCele's "uyahlanya", which definitely hit hard.
Viewers could not help but notice the disrespect Musa Mseleku has towards his wives and family which lead many to think that was the result of MaCele's words towards him.
All the raging topics in the household gained equal attention however the one which is still on people's lips is the pressure Musa is placing on his son Mpumelelo to follow in his footsteps and enter polygamy. Mpumelelo receives a standing ovation when he told his father he does not have any desires of entering a polygamous marriage.
Here are some of the reactions from viewers:
Musa spoke to Isolezwe and promised an entertaining season four, as he and his family are all about authenticity and realness. Claiming that it is non-scripted, viewers will get to know them and their family's lives even more.
"I don't live a lie, everything that people see about me and my family is the real deal.
"Everything we do is not planned beforehand nor is it acted out. The return of the show, is all thanks to our supporters as they can see that we are not trying to please anybody, neither do we want to get closer to any celebrity," he boasted.
The channel has promised viewers an explosive season 4, "If you thought season three was the climax of the show, then we’ve got something even bigger, better in store for you. This season will bring you up, close and personal with Mseleku’s wives and the dynamics of polygamy,” says Nomsa Philiso, Director of Local Entertainment Channels at M-Net.
"Season 4 will expose you, our viewers, to a side that you have not been exposed you before. You will get to learn what it takes to be part of a polygamous set up and for us, we aim to bring you reality TV that does not only entertain. As we celebrate Heritage Month, we want to deliver content that is compelling and resonates with traditions that are still practiced by several ethnic groups in our diverse society,” said Philiso.
