After Def Jam Recordings officially announced the release of Nasty C’s album the previous week, social media fumed and accused the label of releasing the album to counteract A-Reece who had dropped a teaser for his own project.
Immediately after Nasty C’s announcement, the loyal fans of both rappers began arguing about whom they think will release the dopest album. The There They Go hitmaker is set to release his album on 28 August while Reece will be releasing Paradise 2 sometime this month.
Speaking to TshisaLIVE Nasty C set the record the straight, “I didn’t even know he dropped that (teaser). I didn’t know. I am not out here keeping tabs on other artists. But I know social media is like that. They are bored at home at the moment and nothing is going on in their lives, so they just want to see something happen.
“They just want to be entertained, but I am not worried about that kind of stuff. Each to his own, say what you want, I don’t care really.”
The album’s artwork shows Nasty C dressed with traditional Zulu regalia, and he highlights that project is packed with several African influences.
