Last week, SABC 1 confirmed rumors that Lerato Kganyago would be leaving their weekly music show, Live AMP, in pursuit of other opportunities.
Kganyago has been hosting the show alongside 5FM DJ, DJ Warras for about two years and has since won a long-awaited South African Film and Television award for her presenting skills.
As she leaves, Kganyago takes her place alongside the likes of Bonang Matheba, Minnie Dlamini and Loot Love in the Live AMP hall of fame. Considering the qualities that all these women have in common, here’s who we think should take over from Kganyago when her time at Live AMP comes to an end.
Khutso Theledi

Born and bred in Mpumalanga, the 27-year-old Boston Media House graduate captured audiences as the co-host of Mo Flava’s YFM morning show, ‘Flava In The Morning.’
She has since secured her own show called Krunch Til Lunch which airs on YFM every weekday from 9am to 12pm.
Theledi, who was once interviewed by Kganyago in The Link back in 2013, certainly has what it takes to hold it down alongside Warras every Friday.
Kuhle Adams

The runner up of the 2017 MTV Base VJ search has been relatively quiet and it is quite a shame to see her talent go unrecognized. Her bubbly personality would fit perfectly on the show.
Bontle Modiselle

Coming from eTV’s Club 808, Modiselle certainly has the know-how and clout to rep on Live AMP.
Ntando Duma

Duma’s incredible amounts of energy and her out-there personality could work on the show and a show as big as Live AMP could perhaps be what Duma needs to mature and level up in order to enter the next phase of her career.
Do you think we left anyone out on this list? Perhaps Isithembiso’s Nolo Seabi or industry it-girl, K Naomi? Hit us up on social media @ZAlebs and let us know.
