Dancer and choreographer, Nkateko ‘Takkies’ Maswanganye, recently revealed in an interview with Previdar Magazine that her traditional wedding may happen sooner than we think.

Speaking to the publication as one of the media industry’s hottest female pioneers right now, Takkies said “it’s such a blessing that I have a lot of work at the moment but at the same time I’m super excited about the traditional wedding happening very soon. It’s definitely happening sooner than later, I’ll have to balance the work to make my special day amazing.”

She was then asked about the viral video that has been doing the rounds which shows Hit the Floor actress and dancer, Melissa Molinaro, performing an entire dance routine for her husband at their wedding reception.

Takkies then hinted at the chance of us getting to see her show what makes her one of the country’s most sought after choreographers after her friend and mentor, Somizi Mhlongo.

“...they literally broke the internet. It’s a surprise but all I can say is the internet must get ready to get broken again,” said Takkies before laughing.

She also spoke about her ‘Rocking in Heels’ classes which actresses like Muvhango’s Buhle Samuels and Phindile Gwala enjoy very much.

“Dance is a great way to learn about yourself and your body, and that’s why I’ve created a safe space for woman to come experience it,” she explained.

Takkies shared how her business taught her not conform to a man’s idea of what business should be and we think that’s awesome!
