Nomcebo Zikode is a South African singer, songwriter, and performer as well. She made her debut in the entertainment industry in 2003 when she appeared on the talent search that was being run by Ukhozi FM.
Her most recent hit, which she worked on with Master KG, Jerusalema, has helped her on the road to becoming one of the greatest musicians.
Before Jerusalema a lot of people didn't know who she was, but thanks to the song she has received so much love and support from fans all around the world.
Nomcebo went to Ukusa High School in KZN. Immediately after completing her matric, she left her home in search of a career in music and that is how she found herself in Johannesburg.
Nomcebo then enrolled at Havatech College where she obtained a qualification in Information Technology.

The singer is married to Selwyn Fraser, son of the legendary Mam’Deborah Fraser.
When she was on that talent search by Ukhozi FM in 2003, she became the winner and a few of the runner-ups included the likes of Nhlanhla Nciza, Lundi, Kholeka, and Zahara.
Nomcebo then got to team up with DJ Ganyani and the duo released the single, 'Emazulwini'. The record even got to be nominated at the SAMAs.
She was signed as an artist under Open Mic Records and this was the beginning of her solo career.
Nomcebo then released her Afro-house single 'Imizamo Yami' which gained her a lot of recognition. She worked on the song with Bongo Beat and it became an instant success.
As if the song hadn't achieved enough Master KG released the Jerusalema remixfeaturing Nomcebo and Burna Boy. This version of the song debuted at number six on the Billboard World Digital Sales Charts.
What a way of putting South Africa and having its culture celebrated all over the world.
The songstress seems to be on a path to greatness as she continues to give her fans what they want which is good music. Her performance at #FactDurbanRocks showed that she's not about to stop doing what she loves.
She dropped her own track Xola Moya Wam' and for the song, she has teamed up with Master KG. The track is the first release of Nomcebo's debut album of the same name. She announced the release of her 9-track album in August 2020.
In the Xola Moya Wam' single the singer reunited with hitmaker Master KG, this time exploring the amapiano genre.
Speaking to Sowetan, Nomcebo explained that the album was inspired by the COVID-19 lockdown that hit the country and the emotions that brought to her.
"The album was inspired by the fact that when the Covid-19 lockdown hit, I got scared. I thought God was punishing me because I have such a big song [Jerusalema] and I should be outside singing and making money," Zikode said.
Nomcebo became the most in-demand vocal artist in the country as her career was in its ascendancy. The singer started her career as a backup vocalist. She did this for 15 years, and it helped her grow in leaps and bounds as a musician. Nomcebo can now handle the fickleness within the industry and work on her own projects.

If you are a doubter of the fact that hard work pays, Master KG & Nomcebo Zikode will convince you otherwise. Ever since Jerusalema became a hit the world over, the two stars have been getting all the flowers to celebrate their record-breaking hit.
The star clarified that she does not have a problem with Master KG, she instead is in a battle with the company Open Mic for her payment. She clarified this through a Facebook comment, where she was replying to a concerned fan.

Responding to Nomcebo's statement, Open Mic said, "We note the utterances made by our artist Nomcebo Zikode on social media in regard to payment for her featured artist role in the song Jerusalema by Master KG"
