It was a career move that no one saw coming but Nomzamo Mbatha is quickly becoming thee go-to-gal for international red carpet hosting gigs.

She had barely been back in SA for a few days before she jetted of to New Jersey to host the BET International Glitz & Glam stage at the Black Girls Rock (BGR) honouree celebration this past weekend.

"I am still buzzing from my BET Awards and Essence Festival hosting experiences, then this call came through from BET International. It's been a humbling period of Blessings. I couldn't say no, as BGR is an initiative that I've followed for almost 10 years now and I truly commend its founder, Beverly Bond's passion to honor and celebrate black girls (women) who are trailblazers in their various fields and social causes. One of the lessons I most treasure from my last US trip was to be surrounded by strong and successful women who embrace and celebrate each other. Women who congratulate each other with NO reservation as one BLACK GIRL's win is for all of us," said Mbatha in a statement.

On Friday, she sat down with RnB crooner Anthony Hamilton at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center as part of her BET A-List duties before Saturday's main event.

She met the likes of Issa Rae, who was being honored on the evening for her many achievements a contributions, among which are her hit show, Insecure.
