….and it’s quite obvious that Nomzamo is one of South Africa’s most prized national treasures, as she was recently honored with the Nomzamo Rose.
Nomzamo was so humbled by the recognition and thanked all those who were involved in making this day super special for her. The naming of the rose has been so successful that an influx of online orders have been coming in for the Nomzamo rose.
“Never in a million years did I ever think I would have a rose named after me or join this calibre of laureates… Yesterday was truly special. Thank you @ludwigsroses for this profound recognition and solidifying my place in this world in such a beautiful manner. ONLINE ORDERS HAVE BEEN INSANE!” she wrote.
Nomzamo also shared that 50% of the proceeds will go to the Lighthouse Foundation, an organisation that seeks to help young people who battle mental illness, depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts.
Nomzamo started the foundation in honour of her late sister who battled with depression.
Congratulations to Nomzamo this does call for a celebration.
