Mastermind is played by the talented TK Dlamini and he returned once again to straighten Khathide's crooked legs. Khathide has been dealing drugs and involved MaMlambo, played by Gugu Gumede. Mastermind returned to ask him to leave KwaMashu. Khathide told him that he returned to make a little bit of money but his brother Mastermind was not having it because he involved an innocent MaMlambo. The two got into it, with Mastermind picking him up and beating him.
The last time Mastermind showed face on Uzalo was last year in May when the show bid farewell to one of it's main characters MaNgcobo, played by Dawn Thandeka King. MaNgcobo was in a very difficult situation and Mastermind came in to helped her get out of it.

Fans reacted positively to his return:
When fans got elated that he returned, he briefly stated that his appearance was only a short stint. "That was the arch... Mastermind was only back to assist Mangcobo and leave again. Thanks to everyone that watched."
His exit was tumoured to have been caused by him being fired when producers apparently could not work with him anymore. But both Uzalo and TK cleared the air and said he would be making more appearances in future. Hence his return again this month.
He told Gagasi FM last year that he took some time off to focus on his Queen Jessica Nkosi and their daughter Namisa.
Uzaloβs PR manager Marang Setshwaelo also went on to refute any claims that TK had been suspended or fired, βWeβd like to make it clear that he was never dismissed or suspended, we can confirm that TK Dlamini, also known as Mastermind, will be appearing on Uzalo in the near future," said Setshwaelo.
The last time Uzalo trended was when Njeza and Nosipho told a very compelling story on gender based violence (GBV). "A thought-provoking and informative storyline. We hope to have shed some light on the scary reality of Abusive Relationships. It may have been triggering for survivors to watch however we are here to say, YOUR STORY IS YOUR POWER! We hope to have positively influenced victims and abusers to seek help,' shared the show.
Speaking to Daily Sun Nkanyiso, who plays Njeza, said people mistaken his character to real life.
"When fans meet me they think I am Njeza. They forget I am Nkanyiso in real life." He said even men sometimes want to attack him which proves that not all men are abusers.
