Lots of changes have been taking place on one of Mzansi Magic's most loved weekday drama series, The Queen.
As Ferguson Films look to spice things up, the production company - owned by one of Mzansi's power couple, Connie and Shona Ferguson - has hired and fired some talent.
Viewers were not happy with the news that SK Khoza, who plays the problematic and hot-headed Shaka, will no longer be on their screens on weekdays at 9pm. But, in the same breathe, the news of Uzalo actor Nay Maps and media personality Uyanda Mbuli joining the drama series were welcomed across social media.
Fans of the beautiful Omuhle Gela will be pleased to learn that the actress has also joined the star-studded cast.
Taking to Instagram, the actress wrote: "As we continue to thank God for the blessings. I’m on my favorite Show 😭😭 See you this week on @the_queen_mzansi 💃🏾💃🏾 Hope you like her 🤞🏾"
The 29-year-old also spoke to DRUM about her new role, although she did not want to divulge too much about it.
"Khumbuzile is someone’s love child, no one knows about her because she’s the only child who was hidden by her father. She’s basically all about family and she’s trying to get to know her siblings as well," she told the publication.
The former Muvhango actress also shed some light into Khumbuzile's character, promising viewers that they will fall in love with her.
"She’s such an independent young lady, she’s studying for her honours and is just very self-sufficient, I love that!
"Firstly, she’s very stylish, very swaggy young woman, they’ll love that. Also, she’s got a bit of an attitude, she brings some spice, and she brags a whole lot," she said.
