South Africa’s first black billionaire, Patrice Tlhopane Motsepe, started out as a mining entrepreneur. He eventually expanded his business empire by forming a mining company called African Rainbow Minerals.
Patrice Motsepe, holds two degrees. One of these is a law degree from the University Of the Witwatersrand, while the other is a Bachelor of Arts degree from Swaziland.
He has given half of his wealth to various charitable organizations in Africa. He is also a member of the “The Giving Pledge,” a group of rich individuals who have pledged to give back to society.
