“Support Structure, when they heard I will be doing my first Preaching yesterday…. They came to witness God’s Grace and Glory. I appreciate you all so much. May God increase you and bless you all. I love you all.” She said.
Her grandparents, mother, sister, Aunts and best friends were all in attendance.
Pearl has not featured on Skeem Saam for over five years and it looks unlikely that she will be returning to the drama. At the beginning of 2020, she welcomed her second child.
Her baby shower was one for the books. It was put together by creative décor essentials and they did a stellar job. “A perfect Baby Shower, thank you all my beloved friends who made this day more special and most definitely memorable one!! to life!” She thanked everyone who came through to show her support.
Speaking about Skeem Saam, actress Amanda Manku took to social media to reveal that she had lost both her parents. She revealed this just a couple of days after her birthday. Expressing how excited she was to finally get out of the house, the star explained why she posted nothing on her special day. “This was meant to be posted yesterday, but because I was too excited to finally be out the house, I didn't post.” He said.
Her birthday was on the 9th of August. “So 30 years ago, Friday 9th August. My mother was 15 years old at the time, gave birth to a bouncing baby girl, Me! My grandmother named me Dimakatšo (Surprise) because obviously, no one knew that 15-year-old Gladys was expecting.” She shared.
“Anyway fast forward to 2021, bittersweet moments, as I celebrate the first birthday without my mother and grandmother.”
Manku adds that she saw no reason to celebrate her big 3-0. She as well as her siblings tested positive for Covid-19.
“I didn't want to celebrate my birthday this year. ‘There's nothing worth celebrating... However, 2/3 weeks before my birthday, my siblings and I tested positive for Covid-19, we all had different symptoms and some had it easier than others. Almost 30-year-old me had it hard.”
She was just delighted to be able to get out of the house and take a walk. Her symptoms were really bad – her feet even swelled.
“Was really struggling, so when I finally became Covid free and could leave the house but most importantly could breath, walk around without holding onto anything and my feet weren't swelling anymore... I realized the importance of celebrating life. A huge thank you for all the birthday messages. Bathong 30 years hle lena.”
