Wow, can she get her foot off our necks already?

Just a few weeks ago, Pearl Thusi featured on a Netflix original Rom-Com movie titled Catching Feelings, alongside actor/director Kagiso Lediga. And now it's been confirmed that the actress will feature again in a first Netflix African original drama titled Queen Sono.
Pearl took to social media recently to announce the great news saying: "I'm here to let everybody know that I'll be starring in Africa's very first Netflix original. I can't believe I'm saying this, the team that I've been working with has been working so hard to make this happen, thank you to Netflix for believing in this idea. I cannot wait for every young woman, every woman on this continent and actually on this planet to meet Queen Sono, we've worked so hard on this and I cannot wait."

According to a statement released by Netflix, Queen Sono is a drama about a secret agent who fights crime while dealing with a number of other issues in her personal life.

Queen Sono is also created by Kagiso Lediga and executive produced by Tamsin Andersson.

The drama series is set to air in 2019.
