

Model and activist, Khanyisa Mbuthu, is also one half of a jazz duo called IziQhaza who are singed to Oskido’s Kalawa Jazzmee and Universal Music.
According to their Facebook page, the group – which has been around fo years – named themselves after a pair of Zulu African Earrings (which are usually wooden) worn in the olden days to differentiate amaZulu from other tribes and as a symbol of pride. As proud Zulu people, Khanyisa and her bandmate Mbongeni felt that giving themselves this name would revive the true meaning of the word.
