April turned out to be one shocking and entertaining month in ZAlebsville, we recap on some of our favourite and not so favourite moments in the entertaiment world

If the South African entertainment industry was a series, April episodes would've been one of the most dramatic months we've seen by far. In no particular order here are some of the top entertainment stories of April.

Brendon Naidoo's arrest

Brendon Naidoo

This unfortunate incident came as a shock to many of us, especially considering how many people were so obsessed with Brendon's relationship with DJ Zinhle.

On a random Saturday night, the 8th of April, the news of Brendon's arrest for fraud came to the media's attention and all hell broke loose.

On the 10th of April, we then found out that he would appear in court which lead to him being granted  R50,000 bail.

Brendon Naidoo has since been very low-key about his whereabouts.

Mkabayi denies alleged sex tape

This was one awkward and uncomfortable article to write about as the ZAlebs team, we all see our aunts and grandmothers in Mkabayi, so when the story about her alleged sex tape came out we were distraught.

Some of you still think it's her whilst others vehemently believe it's not her, we're siding with the latter.

When Pearl Thusi had her last straw with Bonang

Pearl and thusi

A few people in the industry knew about this somewhat legendary old folk tale, but judging by the way some of you reacted to the story, it's clear you didn't know about the time Pearl Thusi had enough of Bonang.

When we thought Kwesta got married

Kwesta married

In less dramatic news, we got a bit too excited for our own good when we thought Kwesta and his long-term girlfriend and the mother of his child, Yolanda Mvelase got married.

The news came out the same day we found out about Brendon Naidoo's arrest, so you can imagine how buzzed the entertainment streets were.

However, Kwesta placed a halt on the excitement and reached out to us to make it clear that he did not get married on that weekend but was merely doing uMemulo.

Zakhithi's character on Isibaya gets a YES from us

We're glad to see that you were as mesmerized as we were with the gorgeous Michelle Mosalakae who plays the character of Zakhithi on Isibaya. She's such a breath of fresh air.

Black Twitter claps back at Minnie Dlamini

Minnie Dlamini clap back

In her defense, we honestly think Minnie's tweet about people coming back from clubs in the early morning was an innocent thing to say, but it's clear that some people on Twitter were having none of that!

Some the tweets were ruthless shame.

Are you still recovering from Namhla's butt scene?

Namhla seriously pulled a fast one on everyone who was watching Generations: The Legacy last week, her buttocks probably revived the soapie's ratings on that night.

However, it was your reactions that made our day, you guys are silly!

Skeem Saam actor gets engaged then denies it

Skeem Saam

Now this story, unlike Kwesta's story was rather confusing, Skeem Saam actor Buhle Maseko alluded to the fact that he was engaged.

Then he went on to explain that he announced the engagement as a publicity stunt

Mmmkay...if you say so, dude.

As we welcome May with open arms, we certainly can't wait to see what this month will have in store for us when it comes to all things entertainment.
