Yep, ladies and gentlemen, history has repeated itself. Remember Bob Mabena's hit single Get Funky featuring soccer legend Doctor Khumalo?

Well, the local hip-hop fraternity has decided to do a 2017 version of the song with soccer player Reneilwe Yeye Letsholonyane.

Can you picture Reneilwe rapping on a song?

Neither can we, but it's clear that the guys were just having a bit of fun with this song which also features H.H.P.

So you're probably wondering what Yeye is rapping about on the song right?

Honestly, nothing much. What he does do is regurgitate the words "Get Funky" a couple of times and hollers a "Yuppie Yuppie Yo" somewhere in the song.

Basically, he's repeating Doctor Khumalo's verse on the original song done in the 90's, although we wouldn't consider this as a verse but a mere adlib.

We're glad to hear Yeye simply having fun with the song, it reminds us of Benni McCarthy's verse on TKZee's Shibobo. It's really just soccer players having fun with musicians.

The song literally made us smile, and when Yeye's part came on the smile turned into a chuckle.
