Last night saw the first night of the 12th annual SAFTA’s take place with a focus on honoring all those who make things possible behind the scenes.
While there are a number of notable winners from the evening, we’re really proud of rapper, Rouge who took home the award for Best Micro Budget Film which she worked on with a number of industry heavyweights including the likes of Black Panther star, Atandwa Kani, actress Fikile Mthwalo-Kani, Rati Mofokeng and more.

The rapper released her first mainstream project, New Era Sessions last September and coupled the album with a short film that aired on MTV Base and is currently available online.
Other winners of the night include productions such as Ring of Lies season 2, Isibaya, Tjovitjo, High Rollers season 3 and more.
