Last night saw the first night of the 12th annual SAFTA's take place with a focus on honoring all those who make things possible behind the scenes.
While there are a number of notable winners from the evening, we're really proud of rapper, Rouge who took home the award for Best Micro Budget Film which she worked on with a number of industry heavyweights including the likes of Black Panther star, Atandwa Kani, actress Fikile Mthwalo-Kani, Rati Mofokeng and more.

The rapper released her first mainstream project, New Era Sessions last September and coupled the album with a short film that aired on MTV Base and is currently available online.
