To those of you who still don't believe that modeling can be taken as a career and survive off of it, there are a number of South African models who are continuing to make great strides in this industry.

In no particular order here are a number of local models worth knowing.

She's on almost every other magazine cover, Blanca Janches is one of our top super hot models and has been making waves in the modeling industry for years and she is not showing any signs of stopping.

We love everything about Thembi Kobeli, Her hair, her skin, and if we ever met her, we'd probably also lover her personality.  We first got introduced to her in 2010 when she entered the M-Net Face Of Africa competition and made it to the Top five stage of the competition. Ever since she entered the competition, we have seen her on Woolworths adverts as well as on many local publications.

At first, we used to confuse Tshepiso Ralehlathe, with Thembi Kobali. If her face looks very familiar to you it's because she Tshepiso is the face of Foschini, she's been the face of the brand since 2013.

Rosette Ncwana's face is everywhere; Pond's magazine ads, Ackermans, Exact and a whole lot more but we are not complaining, her beauty is worth watching all day long. Rosette is not only a model but she is also a wife and mother to two girls.

We first featured Kgothi Iman Dithebe on our Models Who Redefined Beauty Standards post and since then we've been hooked on her. Kgothi is making serious moves in the modeling industry, her Instagram stories are always about her traveling to her next modeling gig or on set of some photo shoot. She really does inspires us to create our own definition of what beauty is.

Kgothi is the first model in South Africa to walk the runway with a facial birthmark.
