Things are off to a bad start following today's court sitting where the Senzo Meyiwa's murder trial is underway at the Pretoria High Court. Social media is abuzz following one of Meyiwa's childhood friends Tumelo Madlala's testimony, which has rubbed a number of people the wrong way.
Once again Madlala's testimony has left Mzansi in complete awe and disbelief, as they feel as though that Madlala is relentlessly denying almost every question posed to him rather than giving his testimony. Madlala continues to depicts a very uncooperative and nonchalant behavior which tweeps have dubbed as not helping to the trial.
"#SenzoMeyiwatrial ever since Tumelo started to testify he never answered one single question I mean not one single question this guy is there to deny everything" wrote "Madlala is slowly losing credibility as he continues to be defensive on the stand as well as the fact that he now has contradicting versions. He first failed to id acc no.2 at the id parade prior trial, but is now able to id him in court as one of the intruders #SenzoMeyiwatrial" wrote Sibongile TREven Advocate Zandile Mshololo has gravely criticized the trial proceedings being televised. Advocate Mshololo's concerns come after as there are some witnesses who have not had their day in court for their testimonies. In her argument to Judge Maumela, Advocate Mshololo mentions how these proceedings are preparing the other witnesses before their time in court.
Advocate Mshololo has gravely expressed how the trial has been compromised on the basis for it being televised. She continued to explains how other witnesses including Kelly Khumalo now have an upper hand if and when their time finally comes to take the stand.
"There is no prejudice that will be suffered by Miss Kelly Khumalo If her watching brief [sp] is not allowed in this court. Above that my Lord, this case is broadcasted My Lord, that on its own has compromised this trial, because they are watching and we have no control over that My Lord. Above that, she still wants a legal representative for herself to come and sit here for what good reason My Lord" said Advocate Zandile Mshololo
At exactly 1pm, the trial adjourned for a second tea break and will resume where Tumelo Madlala will continue to give his testimony.

Tweeps are also angered by how Judge Maumela is handling the proceedings of this murder trial. They are convinced that Judge Maumela is somehow mishandling and low-key causes hindrance in the court as he poses as both the judge and the advocate.
"Meet Judge Maumela, the paid lolordship that speaks more than a witness. The judge that must decide whether he want to be a judge or an Advocate. Sies. #SenzoMeyiwatrial" wrote Revolutionary Movement of South Africa
