A Twitter page by the name FARPostZA revealed that Shauwn plans on buying the team. "BREAKING NEWS #FARPost can reveal that Royal AM boss Shauwn Mkhize is interested in buying Bloemfontein Celtic. Watch this space... we'll keep you posted," they announced.
Since the announcement, tweeps have been giving the woman praises for standing up for herself and killing it in this male dominated space.
Here are some of the reactions:
@mehlulisizwe: Even the Court cannot stop MaMkhize and Royal AM FC from coming to PSL.. She definitely acquire Bloemfontein Celtics and we will gladly cheer her!!!
@D_Nkitseng: Royal AM owner Mamkhize buying Bloemfontein Celtic's status is a good move, we can't afford to have a club with some "rich history" failing to pay the players and paying their head coach R1500 a month. Mamkhize will pay the players well and will buy good players to compete.
@Codename__X: Shaun Mkhize is the name. The PSL cannot keep a strong woman down. Royal AM must be in the PSL bethanda, bengathandi. She is now considering buying Bloemfontein Celtics. Womandla.
@realTre_Mad: MaMkhize is like water, she always finds the way. She's a go-getter, unstoppable I love her fighting spirit. Definitely there are many ways to kill a cat ma'am.
@NwayiteloWalter: Royal AM Owner Mamkhize Buying Bloemfontein Celtic's Status Is It A Sign That She Agree That Its All Done For Their Case? Would They Have Participated In Play Offs,Maybe They Could Have Made It
The drama started when her and her son's team Royal AM, drew with their opponent Sekhukhune. Royal AM FC automatically went into the DSTV Premier Soccer League (PSL) after scoring a point more than Sekhkhune but the politics of soccer saw them having their point taken away.
Shauwn did not take the defeat lightly so she took to Instagram to vent. "What has happened to me yesterday itโs not new , Who said a male dominated territory was easy ? I am still standing tall and firm on my ground not shaken by it , thanking all those that send message of support I really appreciate it from the bottom of my heart! To my enemies. You donโt kick a man when he is down
โDO not rejoice over me โ
โWhen I fall , I will rise โ
โWhen I sit in darkness the LORD will be the light to me. I have FAITH," she captioned a picture of her in lingerie.
