About a month ago, the alcohol brand excited hip hop fans across the nation following their announcement that trap soul sensation, Bryson Tiller and Travis $cott would be performing in the country in June but they kept us in the dark regarding which local artists would be joining them…. Until now.
Castle Lite Unlocked an Extra Cold local line-up that will take centre stage on the 15th and 16th of June 2017 and said line-up will feature the likes of Riky Rick, Cassper Nyovest, DJ Speedsta and DJ Vigilante.
Another major point of excitement stemmed from the fact that one of the concerts would be held in Polokwane, and as such, the brand tailored the line up for that night to include Major League DJ’s, Nasty C, as well as Tsonga rap princess, Sho Madjozi.
“When we announced that Travis Scott and Bryson Tiller would headline this year’s Castle Lite Unlocks concert, the consumer excitement was palpable. We knew we needed the most dynamic SA talent to take to the stage... Two cities, two nights in South Africa and a continuation with Cassper Nyovest alongside Future in Tanzania and Mozambique, for the first time ever. Castle Lite Unlocks Africa, your music experience will never be the same again,” said Castle Lite General Manager Becky Opdyke, in a statement.
Fans will be excited to find that Nyovest and Riky will share the Extra Cold Stage with their own sets for the first time alongside fellow hit makers – Major League DJ’s. Jointly, the mega stars have collaborated on the biggest tracks and they’re excited to bring that magic to Johannesburg and Polokwane.
The tickets are available at TicketPro, with the concerts set to take place on the 15th of June 2017 at the Dome in Johannesburg and the 16th of June 2017 at the Polokwane Cricket Club. but please note that Johannesburg golden circle is officially sold out.
