Shout-out to these radio legends

Real talent and dedication is what we are seeking from our radio stations, and radio personalities such as Bob Mabena and DJ Fresh. We thank them for sharing their voices and passion for radio through the years.

His legendary voice will always be unforgettable to our ears. "The Big Dawg" DJ Fresh is a legendary radio personality and there is no denying this. Basically, any station that has him as a team member is a winner.

After years on 5FM, DJ Fresh joined Metro FM as a breakfast show presenter and we have no doubt his followers will continue to follow him wherever he goes.

Glen Lewis has been on radio ever since we knew how to read. With just a minute of listening to Glen on radio, it is easy to tell that he was born for this.

After making Metro FM breakfast show his home for years, Glen Lewis left the station in March 2017 to join T'bo Touch's radio team

Bob Mabhena began his radio career before many of us were even born. This Pretoria-born radio legend started his magic on the airwaves in 1989 in the then Republic of Bophuthatswana on Radio Bop. After three years at the station, he was recruited by Koos Radebe, Metro FM's station manager.

In 1996 Bob joined 94.7 as a mid-morning show presenter and in 1999 he hosted the Kaya Fm breakfast show which he left for an office job but his love for radio didn't leave as he made a come back to radio when he went back to Kaya FM.

Last week it was confirmed that Bob will no longer be a radio host on Kaya FM as he decided move on to greener pastures

And last but definitely not least the queen of radio, Dudu Khoza "Lady D Khoza". With over 15 years on Ukhozi FM Dudu has inspired many people through her radio contribution. Her successful career in radio began when the former Ukhozi FM (formerly known as Radio Zulu) suggested that Dudu audition for a presenting job after her radio talks on family planning.

Today Lady D Khoza is regarded as one of the most inspiring and motivational radio personalities in this country.
