We followed Simphiwe ‘Simz’ Ngema’s healing process as she grieved the death of her husband while the whole country was watching her and she has progressively shifted the attention to her work.
Following her stint on Mzansi Magic's, The Queen Mzansi, Ngema has bagged another gig.
During an interview with DJ Fresh on Metro FM’s, Fresh Breakfast show late last month, Ngema had teased to have an acting gig that she had been rumoured to be brewing with one of SABC 3’s productions.
Without confirming nor denying the rumours of her joining SABC 3’s Isidingo the following month, Ngema said that she had a new television gig in the pipelines.
“I can’t talk about it yet...I can’t wait...I love acting, it’s what I’m passionate about...I can’t wait to be on set, and I will be working with my best friend, Jo-anne…” she said.
Confirming the news, Ngema revealed on her Instagram stories that she had been on the Isidingo set shooting the show by sharing videos, “Waiting to shoot Isidingo." she wrote.
Ngema's best friend, Jo-anne Reyneke also took to her social media platforms to confirm that she too was joining the soapie.
The two celebrity best friends have worked on the same production together before, and are stoked to be working together again.
Congratulations to them both.
