According to several online sources, Sizwe Dhlomo’s net worth is estimated to be around R40 million and he is regarded as one of the richest radio personalities in the country.

Sizwe Dhlomo’s background and education

Sizwe Dhlomo was born on the 21st of June 1983 in Durban, KwaZulu Natal. He reportedly has two sisters and he spent a lot of his childhood with his grandfather who taught him about farming.

He studied at Kingsway High School in Amanzimtoti before joining the Durban Institute of Technology to study Computer Programming.

Despite having a background in computer programming, Sizwe Dhlomo chose to follow his dreams in the entertainment industry.

Sizwe Dhlomo’s career in the entertainment industry began in 2005 after he won a talent search contest and later landed a deal as a VJ at MTV Base. He was the VJ at the launch of MTV Base's World Chart Express and he was also part of an MTV team from across the globe that travelled to the VMAs in Scotland in 2014.

He joined YFM in 2009 together with Bonang Matheba as presenters. He partnered with  Siyabonga “Scoop” Makhathini and started a cultural musical journey called The Full Clip. 

In 2010, Dhlomo was the Digital Host at the 16th edition of the South African Music Awards (SAMAs) held in Sun City.

Later that year, Sizwe Dhlomo joined SABC1 as a host for the music show- LIVE alongside Bonang Matheba but he left the show the following year.

Sizwe Dhlomo continued with his career at YFM until 2013 when he left for radio 947. Since June 2020, Sizwe Dhlomo has been a host at Kaya FM.

Besides his thriving career in the media industry, Sizwe Dhlomo’s net worth has also been built from his investments in the agriculture business.

He reportedly owns a large tract of land in KwaZulu-Natal that he inherited from his grandfather- Isaac Dhlomo. The farm is divided into four sections- crop farming, forestry, cattle ranching, and horse ranching. 

Dhlomo practices eucalyptus farming where he grows eucalyptus smithii which produces eucalyptus oil. He also practices maize farming and in 2020 he reportedly harvested more than 50 tonnes of maize from his farm.
