Despite his public scandals in 2022, SK's career was a resounding success and the proof is in the pudding. Over the years, SK has become Mzansi's most well-decorated actor and it is without a doubt that he will continue excelling at his craft in 2023.

In a post shared on Tuesday 03 January, SK expressed his gratitude to his fans, and family for their support. He also thanked them for rallying behind him through the most difficult times in his life

"I am extremely honoured to have received all of these awards. I am earnestly grateful for the recognition I have received for my work, because I am very sure that every other nominee for these awards was as capable if not more, of winning these awards.

Despite his public scandals and the challenges he has endured in his career in the limelight, SK says he is not one to lose sight of his goals.

"I have faced several challenges on my way here, but each one of them has only strengthened me to make me the person I am today; a thorough professional who knows exactly what he wants. I’m someone who sets his eyes on a goal and does not lose sight of it, unless it is achieved. Winning these awards would not have been possible without the inspiration I have received from my seniors and my colleagues, for whom I have the deepest respect, and from whom I have derived the strength to challenge myself and perform better at each role I portray," he wrote.

He further thanked his family, "To my parents and entire family, you truly are my pillar where I receive and am blessed with so much joy, happiness, love, kindness and care…My parents always say KILL THEM WITH LOVE, KINDNESS AND RESPECT no matter how hard they come at YOU."

Khoza recently reflected on his turbulent 2022. In a heartfelt message on his Instagram account where he promised a season of change.

"It’s not easy to become a person who understands that one has to grasp “LISTENING TO UNDERSTAND RATHER THAN LISTENING TO RESPOND”. But just to summarise it, We all know and I'm content with knowing that I will NEVER EVER BE PERFECT… in fact, I am aware that most people don’t actually care enough to know everything about certain things but it’s easy to comment and judge 🧑‍⚖️Have perceptions about how I am, based on what’s said on social media platforms…Abantu don’t know that I am BLESSED to have so many important individuals who are in my corner at all times no matter what happens," he wrote.

The actor heaped high praises on his new partner Choice Mthembu for her support and for loving him wholeheartedly. "One day people will hear the whole insane story. You have also endured so much SUFFERING, HEARTACHE AND SCRUTINISING just for being a part of my life. Yet somehow you still around and there for me even when you are thousands of miles away. “Uyimbhokodo Muntu wesMame, izandla emoyeni."

He noted that he has a lot to fix and make amends for but his ancestral and spiritual journey will help him get over everything.

"There is still so much that I need to FIX, make AMENDS, and PROFUSELY APOLOGISE and plead and beg for FORGIVENESS…But with this ANCESTRAL and SPIRITUAL journey that I am on I strongly believe that I will. Living in fear is tough enough, having sleepless nights, nightmares, and waking up every day wondering what’s going to be trending about me is HELLA HEAY."

Khoza continued "Ngyabonga for iSibusiso isiAmari( “promised by God” ) Sethu…As we proceed to try our very best and hardest to make the right, best decisions possible for our lives. We are not miracle workers, we can never ever do anything on our own terms. So thank you for even going out of your way to help me see exactly who are responsible. that I will forever be grateful and thankful FOREVER, KEALEBOGA MMA/MeMATHEBULA…Our families both know what a handful I am, but knowing that no matter what you always have my back is priceless," he concluded.
