Can't believe we totally forgot about this public service announcement.

So over the long weekend, we saw a whole lot of drama unfold on social media. Sizwe Dhlomo and Vusi Thembekwayo butted heads, Outsurance was dragged, but it seems like people also overlooked Somizi's patch explanation.

Apart from Somizi doing an exceptional job at the South African Music Awards (SAMAs) he, like many of our stars, was dragged for some of his outfits and of course for this rather random patch at the back of his head.

People had a field day with this new revelation from Somizi, everyone was taken aback as theyu had never seen this patch before, so it was quite funny and strange.

Somizi did not address this patch but over the long weekend, he came back with vengeance.

As tradition, SABC 1 always plays Sarafina! on Youth Day and whilst the rest of us sang along to every song in every other scene Somizi made a public announcement to assure us that he has always had that patch and that it came from a head injury as a little boy.

"If ur watching sarafina rewind pause and realize that I've always had this pesh at the back of my head. From a head injury as a lil boy shemmmmm. I don't have hair loss issues lol. Black twitter lol nizofa yazi." He said in a recent post on Instagram.

Well folks, now you know how that patch on his head came about. Shall we move on?
