It looks like the petition to bring Shaka Khoza back from 'the dead' will not work because the decision to terminate his contract has already been made!
SK Khoza spoke to Metro FM on Thursday about the uproar from fans who either wanted him back or for his exit to not be the result of death. The petition, directed at Ferguson Films, was a request for the production house to reconsider SK's contract termination.
Overwhelmed by the love from fans, SK said that he will not look into the petition and he does not know who started it but would love to get to know him or her. Everything comes to an end and SK feels he has done his part.
"I mean, Shaka has been on the show for four years. It's such a long time. I am pleased with the fact that I did as much as I could for the character, and in the short space of time in terms of the story-line I'm happy with what I did.” said the actor.
The interview also allowed the actor to iron out a few things, one being the real reason he left.
Fans were most pleased by the fact that he finally addressed the rumours of his departure. It was reported that he was fired because of his diva tendencies and his unprofessionalism. Neither him nor the production house spoke out to confirm or deny the claims made when it was announced last month. Apparently that did not sit well with the actor.
However, SK addressed the claims saying that his hard work resulted in him getting another contract from The Fergusons right after he had wrapped up the Shaka character. His new contract is for a show called Kings Of Joburg, where he will be acting alongside his brother, Abdul Khoza.
