Arguably one of South Africa’s most notorious couple, Mampitsha and Babes are back in the studio during the nationwide lockdown, adding the final touches on what is expected to be their best collaboration yet. In an Instagram post on Monday, 4 May 2020, Mampitsha shared an image of the loved-up couple, along with the unexpected announcement.
He stated, “Bizzy with her 2nd Album in Westink Studios. Title Gqom’ Queen… IDANDOKAZI. IT WILL BE READY FOR PRE ORDER END OF THE MONTH”. The album comes as the follow-up project for the couple, following the 2016 album, Queen Of Gqom, Vol. 1, which was also produced under their collaborative record label, Westlink Studios.
Fans shared their excitement on the Instagram post, with many claiming to have waited in anticipation for four years since the previous album release. Luzuko Bhabane stated, “I can’t wait!! Please pull out all the stops!!”. The couple are known for their tumultuous relationship which has previously been publicized on social media. Despite having swept their issues under the rug in the past, fans requested that they show off their Bonnie and Clyde-type love in their upcoming musical offering.
