Well... this is awkward! Less than 48 hours after some of the biggest publications in the country alleged that Touch HD would be closing down - their boss, Tbo Touch has refuted all claims.

A report in this weekend's Sunday World seemed to suggest that Touch HD was on the verge of closing down because of an unsettled bill of R190,000 (Did you miss this story? Read our recap here!). The paper claimed that the money was owed to Durban company, Boomtown and was an unsettled bill from way back in 2017, a few months after the company had started.

With the bill remaining unpaid nearly two years later, it was widely reported that Touch HD was now facing liquidation. Somebody should have told their owner, Thabo "Tbo Touch" Molefe, because this was all fresh news to him. The media mogul not only refuted the claims made by Sunday World; he literally laughed them off on social media before setting the record straight.

He began by releasing a statement, part of which read:

"Touch HD has noted the reports from the Sunday tabloids and its sister publications claiming that the company is under liquidation, we wish to dismiss the allegations made with the contempt that it deserves. "
The full statement was signed off with a signature "Ya boy"

Tbo Touch didn't end it there either. He explained on a serious note:

"I’m a young Black business man just like you. Fighting the same economic battle just like you. Created over 92 jobs over the past 24 months, to those who’ve supported me. God bless you for caring."

And just in case you were still in any doubt over what the boss had to say, he concluded by commenting:

Now that the radio drama is out the way, can we focus on Tbo Touch's upcoming movies?
