SA's renowned comedian Trevor Noah, is reported to be paying the salaries of 25 furloughed crew members of The Daily Show, out of his own pocket. The comedian who is living large in the Big Apple, has been listed as the fourth highest-paid comedian in the world and if these reports are anything to go by, one would not be surprised.

Variety is reporting that Trevor will be paying the crew of the show until things get back to normal. Production on the show has been halted amidst the outbreak of Covid-19 to practice the call of social distancing.

Since production has been suspended Trevor recently launched The Daily Social Distancing Show on YouTube, and he is hosting it from his home, where he is self- isolating.

According to the publication, a source informed them “These are the people who have been on the show with Trevor from day one and help him put on the show,”

“Trevor is personally covering their salaries until the production business opens again. He respects his crew tremendously and feels it’s only right that they get thru this together.” said the source.

Trevor is really in the spirit of giving, just recently he announced that he was giving away 50 laptops, to educators who are teaching learners online.
