The television space has seen quite a few changes in various aspects including casting of new faces, new story angles and of course, new shows.

One can’t ignore the tremendous amount of hype that some of these new shows have had. These select few shows have taken the world of TV by storm. Not only was the content refreshing, but the casting also gave the viewers something to also marvel at.

New kid on the block channel, Moja Love TV, presented a tongue wagging show called, Umndeni. The content of the show caused a bit controversy as it is uncommon to have a show on national television that delves into the complexities of a family run by a patriarchal homosexual.

Behind The Story

Internationally acclaimed actress, Pearl Thusi, was appointed as host of this sizzling show on MTV Base. Numerous guests on the show trended across social media platforms as they set the record straight, sharing their side of the story.

Imbewu: The Seed

This etv drama series didn’t start off on a high note however over the recent months, the viewership has sky rocketed given the show’s great writing and casting.

 Being Bonang SII

Season two of Bonang Matheba's show received mostly positive reviews, unlike season one, where the media personality was accused of being too superficial thus disconnecting from the audience.

Pay Papgeld

Another Moja Love TV instalment. This riveting show tackles issues of maintenance and the show helps mothers (usually) get fathers to take up the responsibility of paying maintenance for their child/children.
