"Uhamba nini u'Aunt Bongi" ask #TheQueenMzansi viewers

The Queen's Aunt Bongi first made her appearance a few weeks ago ahead of what was supposed to be Kea's wedding to Tebogo and even though that is no longer happening, she has been standing idly by... for seemingly no reason at all.

No shade to the 39-year-old actress who plays Aunt Bongi (Andrea Dondolo), but viewers just seem to be tired of her and her teacup (the preferred accessory of choice for aunties on the show).

They also seem to have a problem with the Zulu she speaks and the accent she speaks it in...

If the woman playing Aunt Bongi seems familiar but you just can't seem to put your finger on why, perhaps you recognize her from shows such as Home Affairs, When We Were Black, Traffic! and Stokvel where she played Ayanda Twala - a role for which she won an award.

The actress, who lives in Khayelitsha, flies under the radar when it comes to making headlines. Perhaps the most bizarre thing to have happened to Dondolo is the fact that the area outside her home was once a crime scene as it is where Anni Dewani was found following her high-profile murder according to an interview Dondolo once did with Drum Magazine

To this day, she still lights candles in memory of Anni whenever she can.
