SABC's prime time daily telenovela Uzalo's fans are threatening to boycott the show if Nkunzi is dead. In a teaser of tonight's show, detective Mondli says he received a call that Nkunzi and Kwamashu's prominent businessman Mr Thwala were poisoned.
He further says the tragedy will leave KwaMashu residents reeling. The clip has left avid viewers of the show panicking after learning that their favourite KwaMashu villain will be declared dead tonight,
Nkunzi played by Masoja Msiza managed to get away with many crimes throughout his life, but it seems he has finally found his match. Sbu has been orchestrating his murder after his failed attempt but it seems his plan was successful this time around. Viewers have thereatened to stop watching the show if Nkunzi is dead. Viewers say the show's viewership may plummet if he leaves the show.

According to Uzalo August teasers, Nkunzi will return at the end of August. He is set to vow to get stronger and go after his enemy. Uzalo's spokesperson Nomfundo Zondi revealed in an interview with Daily Sun will take a break, and he will come back soon.
“Masoja is not leaving the show, but his character will start an exciting storyline. Viewers will be stunned by how Nkunzi is taken out and will be eager to find out how he will rise again.”
In Zondi's hypothesis, Sbu will assume Nkunzi has died, but he would get a big surprise in the end.
