In honor of award-winning musician Mandla 'Mampintsha' Maphumulo, friends, family members, and industry colleagues will gather at Bishop Vusi Dube's eThekwini Community Church in the Durban CBD on Thursday, 29 December 2022- to celebrate his life.

The 40-year-old singer who was a member of the award-winning group Big Nuz was admitted to King Edward Hospital in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal over the weekend after suffering a mild stroke.
His record label West Ink confirmed his passing. “Husband, father, musician and West Ink CEO Mandlenkosi Mampintsha Maphumulo has died,” it said.
“Details of his passing cannot be shared with the public, The family of Mandlenkosi Maphumolo, aka Mampintsha, as well as the West Ink team, has asked for privacy at this difficult time, and will release a statement in due course.”
Zandile Maphumulo, the family spokesperson, said there would be two memorial services. "The programme has two sessions – the religious one and the entertainment one," Maphumulo told SABC News.
"The first session will have prayers and the word of God, and it's going to be religious, and the second session is what we will give to the artists – they will be doing what Mampintsha liked to do most. They will be doing whatever the artist wants to do."
