What Do You Know About Ona from House of Zwide?

Nefisa Mkhabela, popularly known as Ona from the house of Zwide TV drama series aired on e.tv was born in Gauteng in South Africa on 14th February 2002. She however grew up in Johannesburg's northern suburbs referred to as Randburg. 

She discovered her talents at a young age while in Primary school since she always loved dancing, singing, and acting. Ona did her High school education at Greenside High School in Gauteng where she is also known to have obtained a certificate in Traditional Dance after excelling in cultural studies. 

More details about the young actress's personal life especially her relationship status are still unknown as she prefers to keep her private life out of the public.

Mkhabela started her acting career in 2017 after being cast in a series on Manzi 1Magic, Unmarried acting as Mbali in seasons 1 and 2. However, she had previously appeared in the advertisements of several commercial brands on television.

In 2021 she also acted in a popular movie aired on Manzi Magic called Ispaza Sasekhaya. Nefisa Mkhabela won the role of Ona from House of Zwide on 19th July 2021 after appearing in a drama soap as Onalerona Molapo.

In the series, she is starring as the daughter of the founder of House of Zwide, Funani Zwide, and her wife, Faith Zwide. In the drama series, Ona from House of Zwide is unaware that Funani is her biological father despite both of them being passionate about fashion.

The secret in their relationship is however yet to be revealed as the show continues. The character and role of Ona from House of Zwide have captured the heart of many audiences who love the show which has also contributed to her popularity. 

However, in a recent post, Ona from House of Zwide revealed that her audition and winning the role in the drama series was not an easy thing since it resulted in a disagreement with his father.

In the post, she said that she was a first-year student at the University of Johannesburg where she was studying law. Her father was usually proud of her academic achievements and encouraged her to pursue law.

However, the war began after she won the role of Ona in the drama series and revealed to her parents that she wanted to drop out and pursue her passions. She stated that they had fought for about two weeks since everyone was trying to make their point clear.

Her father then consulted a few of his friends whom after they agreed to let her follow her heart. Ona stated that her father later agreed which made her drop out of University and enroll in the role she had auditioned for in the House of Zwide.

Since then, her father has been very proud of her and has been a great influence and inspiration in her acting career.

Her career has cultivated the influence of the actress who is known for having more than 100k followers on Instagram. Her prowess and success in the industry have also contributed to her net worth which is estimated to be more than $200000.
