For some talented artists, rising to fame comes at a later stage and for some, it comes at an early stage. While we are taking a look at today's young stars in the music industry, we are also reflecting on the young stars of the early 2000s.
If an individual is good when it comes to music, no time should be wasted in saving him/her for a later stage; artists should be introduced to the world no matter their age and good music should be kept flowing.
But which young stars are your favorite, Nasty C and A-Reece or Mzambiya and Msawawa?
Nobody has swag like Nasty C and if you have no idea who he is it is either you have been living in a cage or you are just ignorant about the South African music industry.
1997 born Nasty C know for his single "Juice Back" became the youngest recipient when he scooped an award for Best Freshman at the 2015 South African Hip Hop Awards.
Hailing from Pretoria, A-Reece started writing music in primary school and got his stage name from his star sign, Aries. This young star rose to fame when he released his debut single Couldn't under Ambitiouz Entertainment.
There is no doubt that this young Hip Hop star is reaching for the stars with his smooth sound.
Mzambiya and Msawawa may have blown our minds with great sounds in the early 2000s but their music will never be forgotten and in our minds, they will forever be Kwaito stars.
Mzambiya rose to fame in 2000 with his single Mele Senzeni but it was his hit single jersey Number 10 that made him South Africa's prince of kwaito star.
Through his music, you could tell that Mzambiya has a deep passion for Kwaito and more of his music is what we want to hear more of.
After Mzambiya, we got introduced to another young talent Msawawa who came to the music scene with his hit song Bowungakanani.
We would still pay to see Msawawa show off his dance skills.
