Continuing our goal of shining the spotlight on the rarely celebrated SA talents, we bring you 5 songs for each day of the week (or a song to get you through each day at least).

Artist: Buks

Song: Ali

Oh man, it's only the beginning of the week and you have to go out and face the world and send all those emails. What's going to help you? This get-up-and-go jam from Soweto's own Ntokozo Mazibuko a.k.a Buks a.k.a the man who's produced your favourite rapper's hits. This song is the opener to his debut record 'Pegasus' and one can see why it was chosen for that spot. it packs that punch you need.

Artist: Thwenny, Thwenny

Song: Little Bit

Okay now that you've made it past the first part of the week, grab a lil' more energy from one half of StinoLeThwenny, Thwenny, Thwenny. The Bloemfontein rapper brings a unique twist to the usual turn-up jams already doing the rounds in SA. Check it out for Tuesday.

Artist: Thesis_ZA

Song: Sondela Kum'

We really scour the hidden parts of the net to bring you some amazing gems and this one doesn't shy away from being amazing. Following the melody of Lakmé's 'Flower duet' this Cape Town based duo spins a web of love bringing all listeners closer to them. This one's to calm you down in the midst of the week's madness.

Artist: Amara Fleur

Song: The Plea

With the week drawing to a close, you're using those last bit of energy to make it, let this play in the background while you soak in that hot bath. Have some tea to it also, brought to you by the Jo'burg native Amara Fleur whose voice will make you really feel like everything will be alright.

Artist: Rhea Blek

Song: Teenage Dreams

YAY! It's Friday, so why not welcome the weekend with this vibey lil' number from Durban's own Rhea Blek (real name Refiloe Makhetha)? Play it, just once and feel the vibe.

Now that we've gotten you covered for the week, what songs are you playing this weekend? Tell us in the comments below.
