However many took to the comment section to voice out their grievances, the majority complaining about her rushing the contestants.
Guatebellezas wrote: “You took time away from the candidates, they did not have any kind of coordination, without a doubt Miss Grand gave you a lesson on how to do a National Costume presentation.”
Responding to Guatebellezas made it clear that the timing of the show is not up to her.
She wrote: “First of all the timing of the show is not up to the hosts so please if you're gonna come at someone at least base it on concrete facts for risk of embarrassing yourself. Some people on here also communicated their feelings in a classy way. I understand your frustration but if you're gonna come up on my feed make sure not to come at me sideways.
“Do with it kindness and intelligence. I see you left a couple of other distasteful comments on here and If you're used to bullying people you're in the wrong place. We don't do that here. Go collect your words properly and when you're ready to have an actual constructive conversation come back. Have a great one.”
Here is what others had to say.
Well, it seems like Zozi handled the backlash gracefully as she commented kindly to the comments.
South Africa is represented by Natasha Joubert at the Miss Universe competition this year. The pageants are taking place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood Hotel in Hollywood, Florida.
And for the first time, South Africa will this year be part of the Miss Supranational and will be represented by the first runner-up Thato Mosehle while Miss SA Shudufhadzo Musida will be representing South Africa at Miss World.
Tweeter users have been showing Natasha some love since the National Costume Show, here is what they had to say.
“Natasha oozes everything confidence, she was so fire on the stage. I love how she is extra confident now compared to the Miss SA pageant. Bring it home girl”
