This past weekend, Amstel once again raised the bar for South African live music performances with one of the most memorable Amstel Golden Hours to date.
The Amstel Golden Hour at Macufe Festival has become known as one of the highlights of the week long cultural and music festival. This year’s Amstel Golden Hour was a unique collaboration of three artists, the legendary Ringo Madlingozi joined on-stage with one of Africa’s top instrumentalists - saxophonist Ayo Solanke, as well as the up and coming vocal sensation Zuri.
The performance on Saturday evening included a line up of songs such as Vuka Sula, Baleka and Doli to name a few and reignited fans love for Ringo all over again.
Ringo, who is no stranger to the Golden Hour stage, having graced the inaugural Golden Hour experience, had this to say about his performance - “As performers we live for magical moments like the ones I experienced during my Amstel Golden Hour performance. What an honour to have been called back again.”
The Amstel Golden Hour is a reflection of Amstel’s commitment to supporting and showcasing the best music South Africa has to offer. The Amstel Golden Hours take place within premium events and enable artists to collaborate and take the time to create memorable and unique moments.
“Amstel was thrilled to once again be able to showcase the unmistakable talent of Ringo within the space of the Amstel Golden Hour. We are proud to have created the space for such a memorable collaboration within the major cultural platform of the Macufe African Cultural Arts Festival.” says Avukile Mabombo, Brand Manager for Amstel.
We can't wait to see what else Amstel Golden Hour has planned for us in the coming months, especially with summer coming up!
