Are you ready for Isibaya tonight?

It’s been months since “Mpiyakhe Zungu” was kidnapped and sent to the mountains to become a zombie and so finally tonight the moment of truth is revealed.  Last Thursday we were left with a cliffhanger of a scene, that had us all howling at the edges of our couches as “Thandeka” played by the ever so charming Nomzamo Mbatha finally discovered that her father (Mpiyake Zungu) is alive.

Although many of us have been complaining about the dragging process of "Zungu" wanting to be found, we cannot deny that the process has been a nail-biting and sometimes petrifying journey, especially the episode when the nail was hammered into “Mpiyakhe’s” forehead.   Also, how can we forget the hilarious mannerisms of the telenovela’s notorious villain “Samson Ndlovu” who would squirm and squeal during his days of being bedridden after a bullet wound.

“Ndlovu’s” days are numbered and “Thandeka” has found her father but we cannot help but question what will now happen to the story line after the shocking discovery.  Even though certain issues are yet to still be discussed such as “Sibusiso’s” biological father, who is actually his ex-girlfriends father, how scandalous? This family needs some serious “Olivia Pope” fixing.  Then there is the fabulous cougar-mama “Iris” will she be kicked out of the "Zungu" compound after Mpiyakhe returns to reclaim his thrown? All of these questions will be answered in the following weeks we hope and as for tonight we patiently wait as the clock strikes 8:30pm for yet another riveting episode of Isibaya.
Side note:  How hectic is Siyabonga Twala's (Mpiyakhe Zungu's) acting hustle these days?  In a matter of hours you can see him on your television screens in three differant shows, on three differant channels every week!  At 7:00pm on he's on Rhythm City, then at 8:30pm he's on Isibaya on Mzansi Magic and to round off the day we see him again at 9:00pm on SABC 2's Muvhango.  Now this is what we call working!
